When the shutter clicks and the mirror raises. The frame is exposed to what’s in front of it. It sees it, and takes it all in. Probably overwhelmed by the beauty and light. But in one short breath. It’s over. All it lived for. The layers of Silver Halide piled on it and sorting into canisters. The most exhilarating moment of its life is over. Back to the mundane waiting before a painful chemical death.
